Karni Bhawan Palace was home to Maharaja Karni Singh, Maharaja of Bikaner, and built in the deluxe art deco style, popular in the 1940s in the US and Europe. 

 

Its Doric pillars, ornamental staircases and large windows bear testimony to the artistic brilliance of the past. While its well-preserved paintings, old photographs (of the royal houses of Bikaner and Mewar), period furniture and curios lend a distinctive ambiance that relaxes the travel-weary guests.
