In this Delhi Jaipur day tour package, you leave Delhi around 6 AM. Our car and driver will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Jaipur.

Jaipur is about 300 km drive from Delhi, approximately 6 hours. It is advisable to do the daytrip to Jaipur by car as the most important sight of Jaipur, the Amber Fort, is located on the Delhi Jaipur highway, just outside Jaipur.

Breakfast can be had at the Rajasthan tourism established restaurant called Midway.

Amber Fort is where you can enjoy the elephant ride. Our guide will meet you at the Amber Fort.

Set upon a hill, Amber Fort is a strong Fort and has been featured in many Bollywood movies. It was established nearly 600 years before Jaipur was built. Before Jaipur, Amber Fort used to be the capital of the region.

After Amber Fort is Hawa Mahal, the Palace of winds. In the yesteryears, royal ladies use to watch the street life without exposing themselves to the passers-by.

Time for lunch.

After lunch, you will be taken to city Palace and Jantar Mantar, the astronomical Observatory. City Palace is an impressive building. As it continues to be the residence of the current maharaja, only limited areas of the Palace have been opened for public viewing.

Jantar Mantar is a stunning creation. Built by Sawai Jai Singh II, the King who built Jaipur, the huge instruments are very accurate and when tested in modern times, the error was marginal.

On your way back, you visit the Jal Mahal. As the name suggests, this is a minor Palace, built in the centre of a shallow lake.

Around 5 PM, you drive back to Delhi, reaching Delhi around 10 PM. Dinner can be had, either at Midway or any of the roadside eateries.

Jaipur is the famous pink city of Rajasthan, also its capital. In many ways, Jaipur is even bigger recall than India.

Apart from historical significance, today's Jaipur hosts the annual literary festival, which is a raging hit amongst all celebrity authors.
