JP Sharma, born August 1939, retired as principal from ASVJ Senior Secondary School, old Delhi. Master of three languages - English, Hindi and Sanskrit.
For his professional career, he has been an English teacher. A fierce debater himself, students under his tutelage have won many national debating contests.
He has many books to his credit, both written in English and Hindi. His eight books in Hindi showcase him as a meditator poet. His work in English is all about spirituality.
Away from the academic world, he trained as a wrestler and contested professionally as well.
Of humble origins, as a village lad, he came to Delhi in 1958 and since then he has been distinguished with many awards and certificates of excellence in the field of English teaching.
Currently he shuttles between his village, Delhi and Rishikesh. He is the honorary trustee of Shree Geeta ashram, Rishikesh.
He has gracefully agreed to find time away from his deep spiritual pursuits and share his knowledge through these articles. He brings to us the old school of writing which currently is under threat of simple Internet messaging messaging. We shall certainly chew upon his words.
